Travel Is Limited When You Move Away From Home

I moved away from my hometown four or five years ago. I love the city where I live now. But I’ve noticed something that I don’t like about living away from home. No, it’s not the fact that I miss my family sometimes (although I do). It’s the fact that my travel options seem restricted now that I’m living in a city away from my family.
The problem is that I have a limited amount of both time and money to use for vacations each year. I don’t want to miss out on the chance to see my family. I use my vacation time to go back home to see them. While I love these trips, they feel like going home. They don’t feel like going on vacation. I miss traveling more to new destinations.
I’m hoping to convince my family that we should take a family vacation in Canada next year. I’ve always wanted to go to the Banff Canadian Rockies. If we did a family vacation to that destination then I could see a new place and still see my family. I don’t know if they’re going to be able to do this but I sure hope that they’ll consider it.
