Next month my family is planning to meet for our first ever family reunion which will be held in Florida.  It will be a wonderful opportunity to see relatives and loved ones that I haven’t seen in years.  However there is a lot of preparation in planning such an event.  Usually there is one main coordinator who takes the initiative to contact everyone and suggests local places to stay, etc.  That designated person was me and it was quite a task. I had to contact several hotels as well as Fort Lauderdale rental cars and Orlando car rental agencies for the best price. 

It is really important to me to get our family together because my grandparents are getting much older and I know they will enjoy seeing their family.  Although, due to the economy it was hard to convince everyone to take time away from their work schedules to go.  I found if I made it as convenient as possible they were more likely to say “yes”.  For example, I had some family members pick up their rental car from the Orlando airport car rental so it would be one less step for them to complete.

With all the conveniences and deals I provided I think we will see many family members at our reunion.  I am so excited to see my grandparents’ reaction; it will be worth all of the hard work.
