New York is Americas Most Iconic City

What should you do before you make your New York, NY hotel reservations ? Well, most importantly you should just get excited that you have an upcoming trip to this great city. After that, it’s all pretty much cake. New York is America’s most iconic city and almost every aspect of it is a symbolic essence to the nation. The Yankees are America’s baseball team and baseball is the true American sport. Broadway defines professional theatre in this country and the Metropolitan Museum of Art represents the highest level of excellence in various art mediums. The Statue of Liberty represents the essence of this country and Wall Street defines the American dream. Almost anywhere you go in New York City and anything you do takes on a symbolic significance that is seen almost nowhere else in the country.
So, is there anything that could be considered mainstream normal in New York? Sure, you could always pick up the Sunday paper and read it on a quiet bench in the park. But then, if you do that you’ll notice that you are picking up the New York Times , which is frequently considered to be the most important and highly respected newspaper in the country. And of course you’re sitting on a bench in Central Park, which is probably the most famous park in the world. So, the actual answer is probably no, you cannot do anything typical or regular in the city of New York.
The only answer is that since you’re going to be in New York, you might as well enjoy it to its full extent. On top of all of the above mentioned elements you might want to visit Times Square, which is not only the most famous city square in the world but also has the world’s attention every New Year’s Eve. And don’t worry, if you find yourself needing to wind down and rest a little in the city that never sleeps, you can find a little pizza cafe and enjoy a slice of pie. Oh, and by the way, New York claims to have the best pizza in the world. I guess the city hasn’t heard of Rome.
