A Change of Scenery

Even though I grew up in a family where both my parents held the same job for over thirty years, I never really had the desire to work at the same place forever. Though I guess there is some safety in having the same job for your whole life, I wanted to have the opportunity to experience new things and enjoy the diversity of employment opportunities the world had to offer.
So, when I left home, I went off to work for a company that offered Riviera Maya tours. I had a wild time, and though it took some getting used to being away from home, the friends I made while working there became my family. I stayed on with the tour company for a short five years, when the gypsy blood in me told me it was time to find another job.
The next place that I ended up working was in the Caribbean. In fact, I was trained to help people swim with dolphins in the Caribbean. There was just something magical when you were working with dolphins and it was great to learn their personalities. I even met the love of my life there and was married soon thereafter.
But now, I am feeling the need for a change of scenery, so it is time to look for a new job. Though I don’t know where I will end up next, the excitement of working somewhere new is worth the uncertainty - I just hope my husband doesn’t mind…
