A New Investment Opportunity
By Archi on Dec 21, 2008 in Sports
I am an experienced businessman. I own and operate an investment company with a younger partner. Chuck is more in charge of scouting out new leads, and I do more of the financial analysis. We’ve been quite successful working as partners, and we have 20 people working for us.
Chuck is a big sports fan. He know a lot about baseball, and became interested in a training center that put on a Florida baseball camp here, not long ago. He decided to visit the place. He used the facilities as a guest and talked to some of the staff. His first impression was that the training center was very well-managed, in addition to having the latest equipment. They also had a retail business. Although I’m not a player myself, I’ve got a lot of retail experience, and so that caught my interest. What’s more, the training center offers a baseball franchise opportunity.
This isn’t the first time we’ve considered a sports franchise opportunity, but so far we haven’t acquired one. We’ve decided to investigate this more closely. Chuck and one of our teams will be travelling to other states with some of these franchises, looking them over, and talking to the people.
