Donations to the Orphanage for Halloween

I have volunteered at the local orphanage for the past five years, and it has been a great experience. Though it saddens me to see all these children without a home, we do our best to make them feel like they belong. Whether that means that we play games with them or put on special events, every day is designed to make them feel special.
In order to make this happen, we have needed to find ways to get the necessary supplies for our activities. Thought the center has money in the budget, it is never enough, so we have to be creative. We have done such things as fundraising, pledge drives and even hosted a couple of musicals. Though this does bring in some money, it is never quite enough.
So, we have relied on telling the community what we could use and getting donations from them. Most recently, we had a large company in town who donated kids Halloween costumes, baby costumes, and even some dog Halloween costumes for our two puppies.
Thankfully the community has been so supportive – without their help, our children in the orphanage would not have the same level activities that they currently enjoy.
