The absolute most beautiful aspect of my new home is the view of the lake from its back porch. Clearly when the house was built, over 40 years ago, the window and door technology just didn’t exist to adequately take advantage of the natural beauty that was there then.

Now, I’m actively looking for a quality window replacement company to come in and help me to assess the situation and offer some beautiful alternatives to what exists there now.

One of the biggest eye sores is the fact that the existing doorway from the family room out to the back deck must have been replaced on a whim with very little thought to form, functionality or the overriding value to the home.

Not that I’m complaining about the home’s purchase price, mind you. I got a screaming deal. Now however, I really want to have those severely unattractive doors replaced with some lovely, new french patio doors.

Some of the products that are available in the marketplace today will simply blow you away with their beauty, functionality, and not to mention their energy efficiency. Add to all of that the fact that home values can increase by the tens of thousands of dollars when you make this sort of investment, I am thoroughly excited to get this project on the road.
