I love to visit San Diego, CA.  It’s really got some beautiful spots, and there’s so much more to do there than just visit the beach. And San Diego, CA hotels range from the simple efficiency type to full-blown resorts.  Some of the hotels there are attractions in and of themselves!

But I wouldn’t want to actually live there. I moved from Orange County, CA to Colorado, but one of the places we did look into moving to was the San Diego area.  First of all, the rush hour traffic there is no different than the LA area.  Secondly, I was a little tired of the “marine layer” that visits so much of the coast (we got it in Orange County, too).  I wanted crisp beauty, smaller crowds, bigger vistas and most of all, a cheaper and safer place to live.  Not to mention a place where illegal Mexicans crossing the border wouldn’t be running through my own backyard!

But visiting the area is an entirely different matter!  You’re treated to a variety of sights, sounds, tastes and smells (this latter is a good thing:  I do love the smell of the ocean!)  I’d go visit San Diego any day!
