SMS, the real name for what we usually call text messaging, is something that most of us use now and then. Some of us use it daily. This may be changing for people who have smartphones and who can use email, IM and mobile social networking to communicate instead of using SMS. Each person uses SMS differently. What would your ideal SMS plan include?
My ideal SMS plan would include unlimited text messaging at a low cost. I don’t have a smartphone yet. I still use text messaging almost every day to communicate for both personal and professional reasons. I need to make sure that I have a premium sms plan that does not charge me when I send and receive a lot of text messages.
Other than that the only thing that I really care about is that my text message plan is reliable. I want to make sure that I receive all of the messages that are sent to me. This is especially important now that I’ve switched a few of my monthly bills over to sms billing and receive notices about them via text! I’ve had phones in the past that didn’t always send my messages through so this is an important one. With just those few things, I’m a happy texter.

Lately I’ve seen a nonprofit organization raising money in an unusual way: by selling stuff on eBay. It’s not like a Goodwill or a thrift store — rather, donors simply give the organization valuables or other items to auction off on eBay, and the organization gets the proceeds from the auctions.
It’s a great idea. Money is in short supply right now, so organizations are going to find it difficult to get the monetary donations they need. However, many people have a lot of stuff in their homes that they don’t need or even want anymore — by asking them to give you their stuff to sell, instead of donating it to Goodwill or a similar organization, you can raise some money for your organization even when most people don’t feel they have enough to spare for cash donations.
The organization I’m thinking of has been making money by selling vintage dolls and other valuable collectibles online, but there are other ways in which nonprofit organizations can make money. Selling gold jewelry is another option. Nonprofit organizations can also hold garage sales or thrift sales, and ask donors to give them clothes, books, and other items appropriate for such a sale. Additionally, nonprofits can ask donors to volunteer their services — say, washing cars, mowing lawns, shoveling walks, babysitting, etc. — and donate their proceeds to the organization.
If you are creative, you can probably think up at least a dozen ways that you can turn donations and volunteers into cash. Even during tough times, nonprofit organizations don’t have to suffer for lack of monetary donations!

One of the dreams that I have had since I was a child was to move to Tampa. I know that it might seem a little weird, but I am a huge fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning and therefore I have always wanted to call Tampa my home.
But I was born in Los Angeles, and that is where my parents lived, so there was little chance of me moving there until I was an adult. I didn’t really care for that, but there was nothing that I could do about it.
So as soon as I turned eighteen, I set my goal to find some Tampa property for sale (that I could afford) and finally make a home for myself. It wasn’t easy as I had a little ways to go to save up enough money to make the journey and put money down on a home.
But now, at the dawn of my twenty fifth birthday, that dream is finally going to become a reality. I take possession of my new home in two weeks, and I will finally attain the goal that I set for myself so long ago.
And yes, I have a big grin on my face

One of the things that I vowed that I would work on this year is my predictability. I know that for most of us we do things out of habit and it is easier to do the same thing all the time. But after visiting the mountains for the last five years for holidays, I think that it is time to step out of my shell and try something new – maybe a coastal vacation.
I’ve always wanted to see the ocean and for the life of me, I have no idea why I haven’t up to this point. In some respects it is kind of sad that I haven’t tried, but I think this year will be the year to try something different.
But there will be more planning involved than I am used to. I have no idea as to what is available in terms of coastal accommodation, activities or even places to see. It will be all new to me.
I think I’ll head down to the library and get some reading material, and maybe I’ll look online too. With so many new things to see, it might get overwhelming, so I’ll have to plan things out so that I get the most out of this experience.
